The process of rebuilding the stop action of a console is demanding in enginering and workmanship. This is the first major point in the process.

You can see, below the keydesk, all the electronic controls for the couplers and combination action. The console shell, made of solid Maple panels is waiting the arrival of the new STOP JAMBS and the NAME BOARD, which mounts over the keyboard.
The new STOP JAMBS and NAME BOARD are now in place. THe empty shell begins to have real shape. The STOP JAMBS have been drilled and are now ready to have the 110 DRAW KNOBS mounted in them. The new Name Board and Stop Jambs are made of solid Mahogany. The Name Board has all the Manual and Division stop Couplers mounted. The controls for the combination action and the Swell and Crescendo pedal indicators are also present
Bill has taken the Stop Jambs from the console and has mounted all the Draw Knobs. He his with the Stop Jamb for the right side of the console which has all the Draw Knobs for the Great, Positive and Chior mounted.
This is the left Stop Jamb. This carries the Pedal (L) and the Swell (R) drawknobs. The REEDS and EFFECTS are engraved in RED. All FLUE STOPS are engraved in BLACK. At the bottom is the main control for the Peterson Combination Action.
This is what the rear of the Stop Jambs looks like. This one is connected to the TEST JIG.
This is the NAME BOARD being tested. The Couplers are TILTING TABLET style. On the left side are the 4 DIVISION STOP COUPLERS which allow the player to set up Pedal combinations controlled by the Manual pistons. This is something you will not see on other consoles in Korea. Another "First" for TOC. Also, we have provided 8 Pistons for each individual manual division and, in addition, 8 General and 8 Pedal Pistons. Again we have set a new standard of versitility and flexibility for Korean Organists.
Finally, assembled and ready for shipment from the Peterson Factory, the console looks Very Impressive. The 4 expression Pedals are also somwhat unusual. Far left is the pedal which controls BOTH Swell and Choir together. Then the Chior shoe, The Swell shoe and on the far right, the Crescendo shoe. All these will keep some one pretty busy.
The Pedal Board, Chamber Panel (Which controls the stop and key action magnets) and the Music Rack are already crated. The Console will arrive in Korea sojmetime in Mid-November. This Console, the largest Draw Knob console in Asia, with the blower, Also a Giant Machine, will be on display shortly after it's arrival. Watch our Page for that schedule.
